How Long Does an Ehretia Shape Take to Grow?

By Muhammad Hamza · Published · Updated

Ehretia cone plants in five sizes next to a person for scale

At our nursery, a young Ehretia takes about 5 to 6 months to reach its final stage. Along the way it goes through five growth stages, from a bare frame with a young plant to a full, finished shape.

The five stages

Every shape page shows the stages with photos: ball, cone, wall. In short:

  1. A frame stands over a young plant and the plant sits at the base.
  2. Shoots climb the frame.
  3. The plant fills the lower part of the frame.
  4. The shape is nearly full.
  5. The finished shape, full from the pot to the tip.

What drives the time

  • Full sun, regular watering and fertilizer.
  • A light cut every week, which pushes the plant to fill in.
  • The size and shape. Bigger sizes and more detailed shapes need more time.

Why buy a finished plant

Growing a shape yourself means months of weekly care before it looks right. A finished plant gives you the result on day one, which is why landscapers and designers order them for project deadlines. See which shape and size to choose.

Ehretia Cone, 70 to 250 cm

An Ehretia cone is an Ehretia microphylla plant trained into a tapered cone that adds height and structure. We supply it from 70 cm to 250 cm including the pot, for driveways, walls, entrances and project planting across the UAE. Delivery takes 2 to 3 days.
